چکیده

BACKGROUND: Coffee arabica gayo leaf extract (Coffea L.) contains polyphenols (chlorogenic acid), flavonoids, saponins, tannins, and steroids which improved PI3K serum levels in rats type 2 diabetic rat. AIM: The purpose of the study was to determine effect Arabica Gayo Leaf Extract (C. on increased type-2 rat (Rattus norvegicus). METHODS: Thirty-five male Wistar with induced a combination feeding high-fat diet for 5 weeks intraperitoneal injection low dose streptozotocin (30 mg/kg). were randomly divided into seven groups consist group without diabetic, 250 mg/kg/day Extract, intervention, metformin, doses 150, 200, mg/kg/day. administered orally 30 days. Subsequently, measure by Sandwich Elisa. RESULTS: There significantly higher treatment than control (p = 0.037) after giving 200 CONCLUSION: These data suggest that can improve model diabetic.

Endophytic bacteria in Coffea arabica L.

Eighty-seven culturable endophytic bacterial isolates in 19 genera were obtained from coffee plants collected in Colombia (n = 67), Hawaii (n = 17), and Mexico (n = 3). Both Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria were isolated, with a greater percentage (68%) being Gram negative. Tissues yielding bacterial endophytes included adult plant leaves, various parts of the berry (e.g., crown, pulp, ...

Genetic Diversity of Arabica Coffee (Coffea arabica L.) in Nicaragua as Estimated by Simple Sequence Repeat Markers

Coffea arabica L. (arabica coffee), the only tetraploid species in the genus Coffea, represents the majority of the world's coffee production and has a significant contribution to Nicaragua's economy. The present paper was conducted to determine the genetic diversity of arabica coffee in Nicaragua for its conservation and breeding values. Twenty-six populations that represent eight varieties in...

PHYSIOLOGICAL DOSE-RESPONSE OF COFFEE (Coffea arabica L.) PLANTS TO GLYPHOSATE DEPENDS ON GROWTH STAGE

Glyphosate is the main herbicide used in coffee (Coffea arabica L.) plantations in Brazil. Problems with herbicide drift commonly occur in orchard fields due to non-adequate spraying conditions. A series of experiments was carried out aiming to evaluate physiological dose-response of C. arabica plants submitted to exposure to simulated glyphosate drift in two distinct plant growth stages. Glyph...

Influence of Environmental Conditions and Genetic Background of Arabica Coffee (C. arabica L) on Leaf Rust (Hemileia vastatrix) Pathogenesis

Global warming is a major threat to agriculture worldwide. Between 2008 and 2013, some coffee producing countries in South and Central America suffered from severe epidemics of coffee leaf rust (CLR), resulting in high economic losses with social implications for coffee growers. The climatic events not only favored the development of the pathogen but also affected the physiological status of th...
